Project Description
The Jizan Power Station extension project consists of the addition of one 50MW supplied by General Electric Gas Turbine unit and alterations to the existing plant. This project is a design build project and being constructed while the existing power plant is in operation.

Scope of Work
The scope of work includes:

  • GIS extension
  • New bulk storage tank
  • Re-distribution of existing generators
  • Installation of 50MW turbine Generator
  • New transformer for existing generators

This General Electric turbine generator is a simple cycle unit that has the capability of being changed to a combined cycle unit which would operate more efficiently at a later date.
